Let’s start with cost. The cost of buying and installing solar lights is about the same as wired. The benefit is that you don’t have to install all that wireing in most cases and there is no need to hire a contractor. Not having wires also makes it a little safer. And, of course, the electricity costs you nothing. You may actually end up spending less than conventional deck lights. All in all, solar lighting is very eco friendly and economical.

. If you have a pool, you may want solar pool lights to light the pool area for use on those warm summer evenings.
. Or if you need to see the entry way, some solar entry way lights will help you see how to go in and out safely.
. Is there enough light around the periphery of the yard or deck? Solar post lights or solar fence lights might be something you would like to use.
. Of course, you can get solar motion sensor lights that will turn on or off automatically to provide light whenever you need it

For the most part, you can position solar lights anywhere you want them as around your deck as long as there is enough daytime sun for the collector to capture and store for the evening. However, even if you have a dark corner of the garden that you want lit, this need not deter you. There are even lights that you can hook up to a solar collector that is positioned in the sun so that your dark area gets light tool This is about the only kind of solar powered light that needs some wiring. The rest are just put them up and let the sun do the rest. And you can move them whenever you want.
